Anthony Joshua will face the American YouTuber in an eight-round contest which will be broadcast in real-time on Netflix.
Briton Anthony Joshua stated he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "defeat" the American as the pair met personally to promote the upcoming heavyweight fight.
Ex twice unified heavyweight champion Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami arena on December 19th.
Fighter's Attitude
"I'm going to break his face and break his body up. I aim to demonstrate I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35 years old, said.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's how fighters think.
"I'm going to genuinely try to injure him. That's what I want to do."
Civil Interaction
Despite such comments, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - normally known for his showmanship - were respectful and kept it respectful with each other.
Paul rather criticized former Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and called him "a joke" after the Cameroonian rejected a fight offer.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, took aim at British opponent Tyson Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a victory for Paul.
"[Paul] is superior to Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer said.
"I respect him for that."
Legitimate Opponent
In spite of declaring he will damage his opponent, Joshua refused to talk badly about his rival's fighting skills.
"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he remarked.
Jake Paul's History
Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has mainly fought mixed martial artists or faded names since becoming pro.
He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in last year.
Commercial Success
Still, the relative newcomer remains one of boxing's largest financial successes, frequently receiving substantial financial rewards.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28 year old predicted a knockout win in rounds four or five and asserted he would prevent the long-awaited match between Joshua and Fury, which is reportedly being planned for two years from now.
"It will be my match with Fury in the coming year," Paul stated.
Physical Difference
As both boxers participated in the customary stare-down, with their height and weight contrast on show, it highlighted just how improbable this complete situation is - and how amazing it is that the bout is truly happening.
