It's tough for Australia to set fresh records.

The greatest achievements have already been conquered.

We're talking about the unit that has claimed seven Cricket World Cups, in addition to another six T20 titles, and earlier maintained over three years undefeated in 50-over cricket.

The secondary achievements, those for the peak baggers, are the only things left for a squad that has won it all.

Healy's fighting spirit has always been her major advantage - and a priceless quality in replacing legendary former captain Meg Lanning.

She was challenged by India's emerging talent Kranti Gaud in recent ODI series, out to the 22-year-old seamer in each encounter, but here that only provided Healy's inspiration.

One run resulted off the opening delivery and from that point Healy was underway.

"The possibility to go out there and engage in competition with her and merely enjoy the moment that way, sort of got me going," commented Healy.

She reached fifty in 35 balls - her quickest at the global tournament - and her ton in 84 deliveries while she punished short deliveries, striking 21 boundaries and three maximums.

By the time she was dismissed Australia needed 66 more at one run per ball - an achievable target now requiring a leisurely stroll.

"Pursuing 330 is unfamiliar ground so I am glad we have the assurance to do that now," continued Healy.

"Ideally we won't need to do it again but, should it happen, we know we can do it."

Those words will be the final thing rival teams at this tournament need to hear.

During the last week a belief they will succeed regardless of circumstances has grown stronger - this triumph coming after success over Pakistan by 107-run victory despite sitting at 76-7 at a certain moment.

Next Australia play Bangladesh before an encounter with longtime competitors England in Indore in 10 days, by which point a last-four spot may likely be confirmed.

During that phase they left last year's T20 World Cup in a shock defeat by South Africa - a game Healy missed because of damaged tissue in her foot as she guided Australia for the first time at a major tournament.

Such is her determination, she later said she regretted not playing with the discomfort.

However although she afterwards confessed those injuries have pushed back plans to retire, this World Cup is expected to be her final tournament as skipper in 50-over cricket and she is yet to win a global event as skipper.

Success in India would bring her to the top of her final mountain.
